Corbin Bleu (Reivers) is the striking young man everyone seems to know about. With his warm smile and signature curly locks, Corbin has become a household name.
Corbin started acting at a very young age, under the influence of his father, long time actor David Reivers. By the time he was two, Corbin was staring in commercials for Life Cereal, Bounty, Hasbro and Nabisco. Not long after, Corbin displayed great interest in dance, so his parents enrolled him in classes for ballet and jazz - often being the only boy in his class. At the age of 4 Corbin began to model, represent Ford Modeling Agency In New York. He was in print ads for Gap, Target and Toy stores. It didn’t stop there. When Corbin was 6 he was in his first big production, in the off Broadway play, where he played an abandoned, orphaned Mute in “Tiny Tim is Dead”.
After seeing how Corbin was following in his fathers footsteps with such passion the Reivers picked up and moved to Los Angles in 1996 where Corbin quickly landed a role in “High Incident.” Corbin was also in other movies with Ben Stiller, Tim Allen, Alan Rickman (IMDB.com). One of his most rememberable childhood roles was when Corbin was only 8 on the show “ER” where he received a shot in the “tukas”. During this time Corbin continued dancing and was one of the first students at the prestigious “Debbie Allen Dance Academy”. Corbin says to this day that Allen taught him a lot and pushed him to be the great dancer he is today.
When it came to schooling Corbin went to the Los Angles County High School for the Arts as a theater major. During Corbin’s freshmen year he landed a lead in the movie “Catch That Kid” When he was a sophomore he played the lead “Ren” in the play “Footloose”
In 2004, Corbin was chosen to join the crew of unfamiliars in Discovery Kid’s new show “Flight 29 Down” which is filmed in Hawaii. During the summer of 2005, Corbin was cast as Chad in the phenomenon “High School Musical.” After the success of the Disney Channel Original Movie, Disney decided to make another DCOM that fit Corbin perfectly and Corbin was thrown into the role of Izzy Daniels for “Jump In”, a movie about a boy who has to make a decision to stick with his passion or to please his father. Corbin worked along side his father, David Reivers who played his father in the movie (Kenneth Daniels).
